This design is supposed to be an experiment with texture, as in with the funky dudes clothing and the guitar, but in the end it was all about the colourful fairy things being thrown up by the guitar, love the bright colours!

Oh dear, tut-tut, look at this everybody! If there was ever a person unsuitable to have a kid then it would be this woman. Shes got her child benefits money burning a hole in her yellowing hand; time to nip to the shop and buy some more fags. Dont think she has quite enough packs in her handbag to ease her and her offsprings nicotine craving. Bet their lungs look lovley, black and tar-like. Yum.

Hello again, beleive it or not this guy is based on a real person I saw in the street one day. You have to feel sorry for him dont you? That suits got to get hot in the summer months. Look at her! On her Granny Mobile knocking everyone out of the way! A menace to society! I did not ink this drawing before taking it into Photoshop so it was a nightmare to clean up and took ages. Learnt my lesson there! I would love to re-work the granny character and maybe print her on a t-shirt!

I drew this arond the sam time I was drawning the allsorts pictures, but with this one I decided to clean it up and colour it in Photoshop, as well as adding in the little details like the scales on the shoes and the face, and the lines and the shadows. The little touches and details seem to make a big difference.

Part three! I had fun with these pen drawings, who need colour? Especially when it turns out like the hairy man in the bottom left of this picture. I particularly like the close up of the man with the glasses. It was fun working on the moustache and the eyes!

I used this image as the splash page for my now defunct portfolio web site. I hope to eventually ressurect it but for now I am enjoying updating this blog! Still really like the colours in this image, though he is leaning a bit too far to one side...hopefully that adds to the character of it!

Despereaux - I Worked On It!

From March to September 2008 I worked on the film 'The Tale of Despereaux' which had a worldwide Christamas 2008 cinema release! I started off working in the pipleline, and then moved on to working as a technical animator. It was a great experience and one that I enjoyed immensely. Okay this guy is a bit weird, he came from a doodle I had in a sketch book. The idea is his head is like a tree, taking its nourishment from the water in the goldfish bowl. Who knows what happens when the water runs out though, his hands are too busy holding up his life-giving bowl to refill it with water!
